Darren Washington has been working as a photographer for the past decade, working as a commercial photographer and artist during this period, as-well as been a Judge for the 3 Counties photography open for the past 3 years, Darren is best known for his projects Tales From A Changing City and Memories of Spode. For the past 4 years Darren has been based in his photography Studio, One One Six which is also home to his independent mixed media arts Gallery. As a photographic artist, Darren has become a very well known name in the creative scene of Stoke on Trent. Darren recently produced a new exhibition in collaboration with Sarah Peart and Jon Murton tittled Dark Thoughts Through A Sunny Window in October 2016.
Sarah Peart is a graduate of NULC, leaving with a triple Distinction in an Extended Diploma in photography in 2016. She has been based at One One Six for almost a year, starting with work experience for a while, thus the inspiration to become self-employed. Sarah has already been involved in a considerable amount of projects and exhibitions. She has contributed and worked with one one six owner Darren Washington, on exhibitions, the most successful being as Dark Thoughts Through a Sunny Window, she has also had a solo mini-exhibition in Terry’s Cafe, Grey Porcelain, which was displayed through One One Six.
Charlotte Leanne Jones
Charlotte graduated with a 2.1 with Honors in Fine Art at The University of Derby. During her time at The University of Derby Charlotte developed her skills within contemporary art and was part of 2 collaborative exhibitions, “Twelve” and “The University of Derby Fine Art Degree Show 2016”. From this Charlotte then went on to become a self employed artist working with biological sciences as her main subject matter within multiple mediums. As of June 2016 Charlotte is now working at Gallery One One Six, assisting artists in the curation of exhibitions.
