The world we live in is a fairyland of exquisite beauty, our very existence is a miracle in itself, and yet few of us enjoy as we might, and none as yet appreciate fully, the beauties and wonders which surround us. What we do see depends mainly on what we look for…….
Though we may all look at the same things, it does not at all follow that we should see them.”
John Lubbock – The Beauties of Nature and the Wonders of the World we Live in.

The Beauty of colour in the landscape, By John Garrett

John went to Plymouth uni where he studied
Marine Engineering before going to sea as a marine engineer for Shell

I had been a novice photographer which i had been
introduced to by my mother after she had let me take a shot on her box
brownie at the tender age of 7 whilst on a family holiday in Cornwall
since that time right up to present I have never been without a camera
and now I have retired I have been able to dedicate more time to my
favorite hobby which now fills most of my spare time my favorite genre
is landscape but I also enjoy macro and a little studio photography I
took photographs on a casual basis for a friends pottery business for
about 4years this was taking cars at car shows then he would fire the
images onto mugs for their owners but we eventually parted way so
nowadays it is all done for my own interest always trying for the
perfect shot that will make me a fortune but enjoying what I do even if
it never makes me any money or not!
