With the ever increasing amount of online photography, today’s image needs to capture the audience and stand out from the mass of digital communication. One way to do this is to go back to the routes of photography and print your images. In doing this, the printed, framed and exhibited photograph makes a different statement unlike the throwaway culture of digital files.
Throughout the duration of the last year we have helped to curate, display and judge a number of photography exhibitions, and in doing this several issues keep recurring.
The following Portfolio Review session is focused on exhibiting your work in all the many guises. It will cover topics such as – Content, Audience & Market, Budget, Materials, Sales, Presentation, and Advertising & Marketing.
Info: Price: £30 per person | Duration: 2 hour sessions | You will need to bring a portfolio of work to show, prints and framed work would greatly benefit.
Dates: 17th, 19th, 21st March 2015. Times: 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1pm – 3pm. Booking in Advance.
I’m a photographer, my dad’s a photographer, my mum’s a photographer and my grandmothers a photographer. Who isn’t a photographer these days? Well… Anyone can own a camera, take a few photos and turn up at a few events, but how, what and why do you choose to photograph the subjects and content you capture?
The market place can be competitive and the speed and precision of photography as vastly upped the game in today’s modern world. If your photography is not visually stimulating, thought provoking and technically exact, you will have a hard job finding work and keeping work.
This professional development portfolio session will aim to critique your work and practice with a total overview. If you are looking for help or ideas, further development and professional guidance, this is the ideal practical session.
Some of the topics the session will cover include – Subject & Narrative, Artwork Critique, Market Place & Self-Promotion, Networking and Client Partnerships.
Info: Price: £30 per person | Duration: 2 hour sessions | You will need to bring a portfolio of work to show, digital or print. Dates: 10th, 12th 14th March 2015. Times: 10:30am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 3pm.
